Make love not war

Apparently the US Airforce contemplated developing chemical weapons that could turn straight men gay, undermining discipline in enemy forces as they all decided to bang each other's brains out.

Hmm t'would be interesting to imagine the photographs that ugly monkey woman, Lynndie England and her pals would have been taking at Abu Ghraib then

GCHQ Challenge

Ever fancied yourself as a spy or a codebreaker - why not try the GCHQ challenge

The Guardian's 50 must sees for spring

Doctor Who is at no 5. Quite right too - can't believe we still have to wait till March!

No mention though of the long awaited return of Kate Bush. So glad to see she's gonna give us some more. YOu only have to go to google news to see just how much excitement this is causing worldwide.

March is gonna be one hell of a month, the return of Kate Bush, the return of Doctor Who and also Tiger should be coming out.

Boy oh boy I'm too geeky for my own good

Small minded Christians!

So much for turning the other cheek, or love thy neighbour. A bunch of sad Christians want to sue the BBC for showing Jerry Springer the opera on Saturday.

To be honest, I don't really want to dignify the sad bastards with an advert, it's just I hate small-minded intolerant bigots who force their religious views on other people.

The long arm of the law

A 79 year old man has been arrested for the 1964 murders that inspired the film Mississippi burning

It's nice to see that people don't take pity on evil bastards just because they are old.

It doesn't matter whether a conviction happens in the end, nor indeed a custodial sentence, it's just the fact that justice is seen to catch up with these people that is important

File this in the Department of no surprise

Professor Michel Chossudovsky of the University of Ottawa claims that the US military base at Diega Garcia in the Indian Ocean had forewarning of the Boxing Day Tsunami but failed to pass on the warning to anyone

Why does that not surprise me??

Kids discussing games from yesteryear

Very funny piece in which kids of today play with classic games from the eighties and give their thoughts on them. Some absolutely classic quotes
Bobby: I'm gonna eat your momma.
Anthony: If Mike Tyson was in this game, his special move would be to bite people's ears. Then he'd be all gloating about it, but then the sound's all low because you can't hear him because your ears are gone. [Points at the next opponent, Von Kaiser] That's Mike Tyson, and he's trying to bite off your ear.
Garret: That's not Mike Tyson. Are you kidding me? Mike Tyson does not have a handlebar moustache, and he's not white.

EGM: Do you feel like you're in the middle of the Star Wars universe right now?

Everybody: No.

Parker: It feels like we're in some barely 3D universe.

Bobby: Maybe it feels like we're in the Star Wars universe where you can't see that well.

The human clock

Is a webpage that shows the time of day using pictures with the time in them. Just the sort of thing I hope someone will do a Dashboard widget for when Tiger finally arrives (which will mean nothing to non-Macheads.

Happy New Year

Can you believe it's ten days into the new year and I'm only just getting round to my first post of 2005.

Well it's been a bit of a busy time for me what with my Dad being sick and all the manic rushing around one has to do over Christmas.

Sad to say, I can't claim to be glad to be back at work
